Word bank

Kia ora readers and welcome back!

In room 9 we started writing a setting description. We watched a video of an old busted down village and then wrote a word bank with lots of words down. The words on the word bank would have to describe the village and include the five senses like see, hear, feel, taste, and smell.

Here's my word bank!

Have a nice day and feel free to send feedback.

New classroom names

 Kia orana readers,

At Hornby Primary School, in term 2 we had our classroom names changed in maori. In room 9 we had a choice of writing about one of the classes names and find out the meaning for it.

A couple of weeks ago we made a slide called Te Ngahere which means the forest. We put things on there that were about the forest. When room 9 choose a class we put it on our own Te Ngahere slide. I decided to do room 10 and room 10's new class name is Kakariki.

Feel free to comment and send feedback.

Rock, Paper Descriptions

Kia ora readers,

This week in room 9 we have been focusing on descriptive writing. We had to write about rock and paper. We watched a video of Rock, Paper, and Scissors. After that we had to describe them on how they look.

Here are my character descriptions of Paper and Rock!

Feel free to send feedback and comment.

Have a nice day!
