Hornby Primary's 5 Awesome days

 Kia ora readers,

Last week on Thursday, Hornby Primary started EOTC week which stands for Education Outside The Classroom.

The places we went to were Adrenalin Forest along with Spencer Park, Mega Air, Top Team Competition, roller skating, Amazing race around town, Margaret Mayh, Botanical Gardens, Surfing at Sumner beach.

One of my favourites was roller skating. At first I didn't know how to skate. I was crawling on the floor but then I decided to take little steps slowly, going faster, beginning to be really good at it. I went from being worried and scared to good and amazing at it but still fell over.

At roller skating I also learnt how to stop myself with my roller skates by leaning forward on an rubber part at the front of the roller skates.

Some of my highlights was playing dodge ball at Mega Air, playing tag with my friends and teacher at Sumner Beach on the sand. Last one playing in the water.  Here's an extra one; in the Amazing Race, my team came first and is going to get prizes!

That day I was excited, happy and impatient.

Thank you for viewing my blog. I hope to post more next week!

Feel free to comment.

Persuasive Writing Jamboard!

 Kia ora readers,

Last week in room 9 we made a jam board. We had to use the  statement from our hamburger planner. Then we made our jam board with our statement. After we got the reasons we use from the hamburger planner and then put the examples along with new examples. Finally at the end we put a conclusion at the end.

I hope you guys love my Jam board and have an brilliant day!

Canterbury Swim School ~ Day #1

Ni Hao, Xin Chao readers and welcome back to another blog post,

This Term for 2 weeks Hornby Primary School are learning how to swim or you could call it swimming lessons. First room 9 and room 2 our buddy class went on a bus then drove to Canterbury Swim School.

After the bus ride both classes walked inside and got ready for swimming. Lastly both classes were split into groups and headed off to one of the pools with their swimming instructor, my instructor was a woman.

I learnt which of my arms is the bubble arm and which is my breathing arm for arm circles.

My goals for the term are trying not to struggle in deep water and arm circles without a board.

Have a nice day, Bye!
