Talofa lava readers,
In one of my recent posts I shared my persuasive writing. So here's a part 2!
I am a Year 6 ākonga/student in the Uru Mānuka Cluster. My kaiko/teacher is Whaea Miki. This is a place where I will share my learning. Please note that some of it will not be complete, it will be my first drafts. Remember to be positive, thoughtful, and helpful when you leave me a comment.
Xin Chao, Bula Vinaka readers,
In room 9 we are focusing on Persuasive Writing. Persuasive means something like making someone believe something. Room 9 made a list of statements that people have different opinions of then we chose 3 of those statements.
Then we made a google doc with those 3 statements with an reason and some evidence.
Here's my work. Thank you for reading my blog!
Talofa, Kia orana readers,
This week in room 9 in reading we have been going on a website called Kiwi Kids News and finding an article to read. I read an article called plastic straws. We had to make a google doc then from the article answer some recall questions and thinking questions.
After that we had to make a 10 word summary which is words that are important and related to the article.
I would like to share my work!
I hope you enjoyed this blog post and that you have a great day.
Oh and here's a link to visit Kiwi Kids News article/plastic straws link.
Ni Hao, Xin Chao readers and welcome back to another blog post,
This Term for 2 weeks Hornby Primary School are learning how to swim or you could call it swimming lessons. First room 9 and room 2 our buddy class went on a bus then drove to Canterbury Swim School.
After the bus ride both classes walked inside and got ready for swimming. Lastly both classes were split into groups and headed off to one of the pools with their swimming instructor, my instructor was a woman.
I learnt which of my arms is the bubble arm and which is my breathing arm for arm circles.
My goals for the term are trying not to struggle in deep water and arm circles without a board.
Have a nice day, Bye!
Xin Chao readers,
As you may know in one of my recent posts I was talking about Mental health and had done an activity aswell. So today I have another one about nature spots and who we would go with to those places.
We had to get photos of our favourite places outside then write a list of who we would go with to the place.
I hope you like it and have a nice last day of the term!
